Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about tufting workshops at Tuft Saigon, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

What is tufting?
Tufting is a textile craft where yarn is pushed through a stretched fabric using a handheld tufting gun. The result is a looped or cut-pile surface — the same technique used to make commercial rugs, but done by hand in a studio setting.
Is tufting hard? Do I need any experience?
Not at all. Tufting is very beginner-friendly. Our instructor guides you through every step — from stretching the canvas to operating the tufting gun and finishing the rug. Most participants are comfortable with the gun within the first 15 minutes.
Are there any age requirements?
Participants aged 10 and above are welcome with adult supervision. Tufting guns involve a motor and sharp needles, so adult supervision is important for younger participants.
How long does a session take?
Every workshop runs for approximately 3 hours, regardless of the rug size. Please arrive a few minutes before your chosen hourly start time.
What is included in the workshop price?
Everything. The price includes the tufting gun, frame, monk’s cloth, all yarn colours, backing material, binding, and step-by-step instruction. You leave with a finished, ready-to-display rug.
Can I reschedule or cancel my booking?
Rescheduling is free if you contact us at least 48 hours before your session. Since payment is made on arrival, there is no charge for cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance. A no-show fee of 50% applies for cancellations within 48 hours.
How do I book a private or corporate group session?
Send a group enquiry at tuftsaigon.com/groups or contact us via WhatsApp (+84 344 433 500). We will check studio availability and discuss a practical plan for your group.
How do I pay?
Payment is made on arrival by bank transfer (VietQR). We use Vietcombank, account number 1066175259, account holder CONG TY TNHH HSTUDIO. You will receive a booking reference number to use as the transfer memo.
